posted this issue in another thread.

it seems that in the options of mp game the map icons wont work correct.

    if selected bare map.....all visible
    if selcted 1k visibility.....all visible

so i think its a bug

Can't confirm 100% but I tried hampering with the visibility limits on the map and I always saw everything so it might not be MP related only.

Can't confirm it either. I know that there some inaccuracies with the player sees option, but the bare map should work.
Are you sure that the custom difficulty option is checked?

You probably had the realism setting checked. That basically overrides the rest of those settings.

Sounds like a performance issue. You'll want to tone down your graphic settings and see if you can play them. If you're having crashes, start with bare minimum graphic settings. If they run, increase them incrementally until it crashes again. Find your happy medium.

i have noticed 1 thing about the new game. i run windows 7 and i tried to do the compatability for windows vista service pack 3, like all my other new games and old ones . but. it won't run at all in that compatability mode.so i figure the game files are based on windows xp SP 3. but i'm not sure. don't seen to have any issues with multiplayer . but i like playing the single player scenarios as i've said. i don't have these issues with TC 2m. so that says something. i've got my setting set a normal.

Alright wise guy, I didn't know your specs.. 9 times our of 10, the problems you describe are due to performance issues.

Really not sure what else that could be. Have you tried re-installing? It's possible your download got corrupted.

That's a good idea. This was probably the case for my problem with the Peach Orchard scenario. I couldn't play it even with all minimal settings. After I installed the beta patch, it plays well with all settings on 'Best'.

I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

yeah that scenario crashes too. i suggest nsd team just look into the SP scenarios and stop messing around with the multiplayer for awhile and then make a hard dick copys
and sell them at the stores

Have you been looking our bug database? That's exactly what it says:

    1. don't "look into the SP scenarios"
    2. keep "messing around with the multiplayer"

Sorry, couldn't help myself :) We are almost ready to release the next beta patch and we have done a TON of work on SP.

If you have problems with the mirrors, download from our site instead. Just a click and you're downloading. The game name is a link and it will download right from the site.

but as far as using minimal setting thats kind of redundant. all games on the markets should be able to run at max setting for you release them .

Are you saying that the program initially runs correctly and then eventually starts to give you CTDs? If so, you probably have a virus resident in memory that is writing itself to one or more of the exe/dll game files. To confirm, do an MD5 checksum of all the game dlls and exe. You can download this simple, free program to do this: dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteId=4&oId=3000-2092_4-10964258&ontId=2092_4&spi=d7cc94635a38f0dbff69d769aea4e9dd&lop=link&tag=tdw_dltext<ype=dl_dlnow&pid=11090179&mfgId=10053080&merId=10053080&pguid=graz5QoPjAYAAFJKn48AAABU&destUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.cnet.com%2F3001-2092_4-10964258.html%3Fspi%3Dd7cc94635a38f0dbff69d769aea4e9dd

Record the MD5 value for each file. Now uninstall/reinstall the game. BEFORE starting it up do the MD5 checksum again. If they are different, you have a virus.

I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

ok i changed the miniutes to save games from 15 mins to 1 minute and scenario 4 didn't crash this time and i completed it . so that tells me there something wrong in the savegames minutes that you'll have to fix. i got the checksum thing . now if i only knew how to use it or make it work . how wonderfull. you're trying to say my computer is causing viruses? you've bumped you head, go to the dotor and have your head examined

sorry i meant the autosave buttom , there must be something about the autosave buttom,
i change it from 15minutes back to 1 munute. so that must be the reason for the issue. so logitcaly its not got anything to do with check sum. its just a problem in the autosave files that needs to be address. i guess that didn't seen important at the time
i'm not even a computer genius like you guys and i figured that out. how many years of collage do you guys have? so obviouly you can't set the autosave above 1 minute atm . did you guys do that for some special reason? i guess this is something you should have put in the read me file i read, i read , i read.
