New Version for SP and MP

  • Here is the latest version:
    HERE . It also includes the user scenario's for Battle of Gattensburg. A fictional battle using units from 1809. Play all the stock SoW:GB scenario's, but with Napoleonic units! France vs Austria!

    You will also need the Logistics files:

    Ive split them up so i can update them easily.

    Instructions:
    1) Download the large file, extract into mods folder
    2) Download the Logistics mod and extract into mods folder
    3) Then activate them both from the ingame Mods menu

    This contains the Road to Wagram and Peninsular mod in one. Changes to the drills for MP that shouldn't affect single player too much. Cavalry was changed in the 1.6 patch so they might act differently now.

    Addons:
    Large Eckmuhl OOBs can be found HERE . Includes new unit, Baden fusilier!


    Issues:
    1) If you are British and you capture french artillery Austrian artillery units will spawn (this is because i forgot to update all the peninsular OOBs to use the 'peninsular only' french artillery unit.

    Brilliant! Just took a spin around the Mod. LOVE the Wurrtemburgers! Great job on the new flags, also. Forgive me if they were already in the "Gattensburg" scenarios. Clean forgot. Love the new square! Figured that was what you would do. Haven't done any fighting yet, (later tonite), but will report back.

    Question - are there any changes that would keep all the OOB's Zeke and I have written from working?

    Which sprite ratio are you recommending? I'm guessing SR4 but haven't taken the time to really check it.
    Also, will have to build a new skirmish mod .csv from your new ones as they incorporate the old square informaiton. Should have it up and running by morning.

    Okay - that took literally no time to change. For those of you using it, here is the revamped Skirmish Mod which includes the beautiful new Square formations that Gunship did.

    Gun - Question - did you incorporate the new square cambat modifiers we developed to make the less easy for cavalry to break? Haven't had time to fight and form square yet.

    Gun - Uhlans!!! I f-ing hate you. They're excellent, EXCEPT, no toolbar for them. I am running just the new Beta Mod and .CSV packages you posted, so must be something in there. Also, Great Freiwilliger JagerKorps. Can't wait to include them in my OOBs.

    Yes - so far my original OOBs will work within the new Beta Mod setup. :laugh: :) B)

    Great news and a big thank you!

    I will give it a quick SP today. MP might be more difficult but hopefully some time this weekend.

    If anyone manages an MP, please report back :)

    Portraits are still in the making but have been delayed due to RL commitments. Hopefully, just a few weeks.

    OOB information - My OOBs will NOT work with the New Beta Mod. There is a super-minor change in the rifles.csv which makes them different from the originals. What will happen is some Austrian and Hungarian Battalions will not be able to shoot. They will show as having no muskets. Either I will have to go back and edit all the OOBs or Gunship will have to adjust this and resend it out as a change. Otherwise, the Mod works great!

  • Okay, for voice I am going to run my mumble server if anyone wants to join in my MP game. It's not a requirement, but would be nice since it uses very little bandwidth, and has very low latency.

  • Hmmm, when you are using mumble, it places a small icon inside letting you know who is on voice. It also has positional audio... I wonder how that works.

    Haaa, it also lights up inside the game when you transmit so people will know is is broadcasting... very nice.

    Found the issue with the Aus. Uhlans having no toolbar - at one point in the line where it should say "AUSFriendly", it says "AUSiendly". Easy fix. Will work after that change.

  • Here you go Jack, here is the setup for the MP game me, and Mitra were playing... The only thing (I just noticed) is the map is wrong. I think we were playing the Mac map for the MP game we were having. The other setups are the same.
